This past weekend, three of our coaches attended the 30th Coaching Conference, which brought together experts from different parts of the world. The event was an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and new ideas that will contribute to even better work with players at TK Celje.
Among the speakers, Craig O’Shannessy stood out. He has been active on the professional tennis tour for more than 20 years. He was part of Novak Djokovic’s team and contributed to his four Grand Slam titles and return to the No. 1 spot on the ATP rankings. He has also worked with Matteo Berrettini and other top players. Craig is a pioneer of video analysis and tactical reports, and today he develops advanced analytical metrics on the ATP Tour.
Dr. Aleš Filipčič was the first Slovenian Davis Cup captain and has led three Slovenian tennis clubs. He is a professor at the Faculty of Sport in Ljubljana, a long-time mentor and educator of tennis coaches, and an international ITF tutor, where he plays an important role in the development of coaching.
Daniel Pålsson is a former professional tennis player and Wall Street financial trader who now advises top-level athletes and teams. He combines elite sport, mental resilience, and performance under pressure, drawing from experience in football, tennis, and the business world.
Our coaches have gained valuable new methods and approaches that they will bring into training sessions to support the development of our players.
